I've gotten a ton a flack for my opinions about Forza 5 around here. (Not necessarily from Oppo; mostly ass-ha, er, burners on the FP)
Well, looks like I wasn't the only one complaining.
A substantial update coming to

this month perhaps as early as next week will make it easier to stock your virtual garage with expensive vehicles.
Prices for on-disc cars will be slashed almost in half (down 45%, to be exact),

reports, while racers will also

after the update. On top of that, developer Turn 10 is adding a pair of new game modes: Drag Racing and Tag.
In Drag Racing, up to 16 players can hop into a lobby and challenge
other drivers in one-on-one straightaway races or simultaneous drag
races for up to eight players at a time. The setup sounds quite similar
to

.
Tag is a bit more complex with three different variants on the classic
children's game: One player is designated as "it" and must run from the
other players to win; one player is "it" and, upon tagging other
drivers, will cause them to be "it" as well, with the last standing
untouched driver winning the match; and in the last variant, one player
begins the match as "it" and must tag other players to pass the "it"
status, with the player having been tagged the least amount of times
winning the match.
"We based our economy largely on

data," Turn 10 creative director Dan Greenawalt told IGN. "The earn
rate [in Forza 5] should have been the same," Greenawalt added, assuring
that Turn 10 is "making updates pretty quickly and painlessly" and will
continue to do so based on input from the
Forza 5
community.

Every time I see a screenshot, I want FM5. Then I play GT6 and I'm happy again...

I am mad at whiners like you, I just dropped 6million on a car last night.

Then I look at all of the tracks, and the happiness grows.
Then I look at all the cars and find not a single Pinto Wagon, and I have a sad.

Good for you. You want a cookie? (That is sarcasm, intended in jest, as one would with a buddy. I know we aren't, but I wanted you to understand the way I said that.)
I was never whining, whinging, or nagging.
I have only ever expressed my opinion about the game.
Actually, I think they did this update wrong as well. "The earn rate [in Forza 5] should have been the same," Greenawalt added..." Clearly it wasn't or people woufd not have made such a stink about it.
Making cars expensive, and thus, 'exclusive' is just fine. I do not mind having to work for anything. What frustrated me was that the payouts for the races were really rather low, and you had to pay for parts now.
Instead of dropping car prices, I would they have rather made parts much cheaper, and given us other ways to raise money. There is no 'storefront' where one can sell designs and tunes, nor is there an auction house where people can sell unwanted cars.
Both of these allow those who do not have the time or willingness to grind toward their next car purchase to still make some money based on talent or recover something from their car purchase.
Either way, you are still 'working' toward your cars, especially when you are selling designs/tunes. The effort people put into those has always been impressive.

I should have clarified as well, I'm not actually mad at you, or people like you. I thought it was simply just terrible timing. I'm only a little disappointed in these companies that keep flip flopping (i.e. microsoft vs game sharing, turn10 for making my grindings seem trivial).

Hopefully their second December installment of Forza Rewards will be another huge credit bounty to help those who have shared your unfortunate timing.

You gotta admit, pinto or no pinto, the selection is better in GT6 than FM5.

Oh hell yes it is.
